2024 Outlook
Freeport will be shooting for a fourth consecutive Class B state title this fall. While it won't be easy the Falcons have the top-end talent to add another title to the trophy case. Alex Gilbert and Connor Smith maybe the best 1-2 duo in the state, behind them look for Owen Dawson to step-up in his senior season. The Falcons had several freshmen from a year ago who will need to contribute this fall to keep the winning streak going. Look for sophomore Ian Guzman to have an impact. Expect Freeport to be one of the teams in the mix for the Class B title this fall.

Summer training went well. Between team runs, running groups, and going for runs with teammates individually, the teams each are primed to enter the season and start strong. My expectations are to see improvement for all runners, compete in meets, and be competitive at states. It's a great group of student-athletes and I'm really looking forward to every aspect of the season, and enjoying our time together
