65 Maine schools and 9 out-of-state schools will make the trip to Belfast on Saturday to run in the 17th annual Festival of Champions at Troy Howard Middle School. 

The 2nd annual Hoka Southern Maine XC Classic will take place at Naragansett School in Gorham on Saturday.

Falmouth opened May with a pair of wins as the boys team edged Biddeford, while the girls sneaked by South Portland in a five team SMAA meet.

While Falmouth's girls team can claim the individual state champion, their boys put it all together to win the State Class A Championship. Lisandro Berry-Gaviria claimed the individual title, his third in three weeks.
