Each week MaineTrackXC will post several top performances for each gender, and let the fans decide who is worthy of the Maine Running Company Performance of the Week by casting their vote. Each week on Monday the top performances will be posted undet the "Discussion board" link on the homepage, their will be a topic link called ie. "Boys Performance of the Week January 9th-15th" , click on it to see your choices and then cast your vote. In order to vote you must be logged into the site with a user, if you don't have one already sign up for one so you can support the great athletic accomplishments of those in the running.</p>

The Indoor Track Performance of the Week voting is complete for week #2. On the girls side US #6 ranked 2 Miler Kirstin Sandreuter of Greely edged Sarah Perkins of Gorham by one vote to earn top honors. Sandreuter clocked a personal best of 11:23.87, the mark broke the WMC league record held by former Greely standout Abby Chapman back in 2004 by over 13 seconds. This marked the second week in a row that Kirstin broke a record, as she claimed the mile record the week before with her 5:12.70, again breaking a record formally held by Chapman. On the boys side, last week's runner-up Harlow Ladd of Messalonskee behind his US #14 ranked mile was the boys selection. Ladd broke through with a personal best 4:20.54 in the mile running on the famed Armory track in NYC as he ran in the Millrose Games qualifier meet. The week before Harlow finished 3rd in the mile @ Dartmouth Relays. Currently Ladd ranks #1 in Maine in the Mile & 2 Mile, and is #2 in the 800m.
