2012 XC Top Returners Statewide #11
Jay Lesser (Sr. Falmouth) Lesser was apart of the state champion Yachtsmen last fall finishing 13th overall in the Class B championship. Lesser ran his best at the end of the season when it counted the most, as he was 7th in the Western Maine Regional, and finished his season with a personal best 17:30 at the New England Championships. Jay's improvement from his sophomore year was impressive as he placed 57th in 2010.

Mackenzie Belyea (Sr. Caribou) Belyea finished a strong 7th place in the Class B state meet last fall, impressive considering she was only 8th in the Eastern Maine Regional the week before. Mackenize showed good improvement from 2011 to 2012 as she was 23rd as a sophomore. Belyea had some strong times outdoors as she ran a personal best in the 3200m (12:04.56) placong 9th in the state meet. She also competed in the pole vault at the state meet. Belyea is in a position to compete for a top 5 finish in 2012.
