2012 XC Top Returners Statewide #6
Nate Madeira (Sr. Greely) Madeira finished 5th in the Class B state meet last fall, helping his Greely team to the state runner-up trophy. Nate had a great year as he 3rd in the WMC Championship as well as the Western Maine Regional. He finished off his XC last fall with a personal best 16:58 at the NE Championship. Nate had a strong outdoor season that saw him place 6th in the 1600m at the Class B state meet. Madeira ran personal bests of 9:59 for 3200m & 4:31.52 for 1600m during the season.

Aleta Looker (Jr. Ellsworth) Looker nabbed a top 5 finish in the Class B state meet as she crossed the line 4th in 20:08.4 last fall. The 4th place finish matched her freshman year place, no doubt Aleta will be looking to crack the top3 this fall. On the track Looker had plenty of success finishing as the state runner-up indoors in the 800m & 5th oin the 3200m. She ran a best of 2:16.04 for 800m, one of the fastest times on state history. Also indoors she placed 5th in the 1000m with a fine time of 2:59.16. Outdoors Aleta won the Class B state 800m title in 2:19.69, and finished 2nd in the 1600m 5:08.45.
