In his on words: Luke Laverdiere - Winning & Losing Derek Veilleux Nov 11, 2016

This past weekend showcased some of the incredible cross-country talent we have in this state. There were some pretty incredible races to watch! Whether you achieved the goals you had in mind or not, I wanted to congratulate everyone on a truly great season of cross-country! It is difficult to do what we do, and we did it with style and grace this fall.

In his own words: Paul Casavant - Never lose sight of your goals Nov 07, 2016

So I just ran my last high school cross country race in Maine. Congrats to all the Seniors who made it to the end of their XC season! As for the underclassmen, you have a couple more years left, so enjoy it all! I remember my first state meet vividly, and I'm sure that I will remember this one for many years! It was a crazy race!

With this final weekend, the regular season is now over. Although I missed racing, it was really great to watch the culture that I enjoy being a part of so much. It made me extremely proud to be one of you all. One thing I love so much about runners is how supportive you all are for everyone.

I hope the past few weeks of races and training have treated you well. The results have already been crazy impressive, which only makes me more anxious and excited to see what the next few have in store. Its been fun lacing up the spikes again and getting back into racing, for sure.

For those of you don't know me, I'm Hannah Steelman. I'm a senior at Orono
High School, and I love to run. There's something about each race, workout, and run that
makes me adore the sport more and more, and I'm so thrilled to have been asked to come
back and blog again about my experiences throughout the course of the 2016 season.

In his own words: Luke Laverdiere Yarmouth a Rising Team Derek Veilleux Aug 18, 2016

Hey everybody, I'm Luke Laverdiere and I'll be blogging for milesplit this fall! I am starting my Junior year at Yarmouth this fall, a year that is notoriously packed full with AP classes, college visits, and very little sleep. With that lingering in the back of my mind, I'm a bit apprehensive about this upcoming year but also incredibly excited for this season!
