State titles up for grabs Oct 26, 2011

These are the moments that high school runners dream of from the moment preseason practices begin in August. Plenty of blood, sweat and tears have been poured into numerous cross country trails throughout the state over the last 2 and a half months, and those efforts will culminate for Maine’s top schoolgirl individuals and teams on Twin Brook Recreation Area’s challenging 3.1-mile course this weekend, when state championships are up for grabs. Eastman repeats | Bowman surprises | MDI girls & Falmouth boys dominate Oct 30, 2011

Brittany Bowman of Camden Hills won her first race of the season as she surprised the field to win the girls race. Silas Eastman of Fryeburg repeated as the individual champion. Teamwise MDI dominated the girls race, while Falmouth did the same to capture the boys title. More to come later
